Open Source means everyone… unfortunately.

As part of the President’s open source initiative, the administration’s technology team came up with a decent idea to create an online idea generation engine. In theory this would allow ordinary citizens to electronically submit ideas to the government. Unfortunately, just about anyone can access the interweb these days. What happens when ‘ordinary’ citizens submit their ideas to the government online?
Out of the top three ideas, one of them was to legalize marijuana, while the other two were conspiracy theories about Obama’s birthplace.
Now that’s tax dollars well spent! Maybe we should invest in a filter to screen out the hippies?
