Oh aeroSnap!

Microsoft (to their credit) decided to focus on increasing efficiency rather than aesthetics in their newest operating system (Windows 7). Thankfully, it include several new productivity features that make life happy. One such feature allows you to ’snap to fit’ your windows to a portion of your screen. Fortunately for you, we found a piece of software that will allow you to do it today on Windows XP or Vista. It’s called AeroSnap and it’s deliciously free.

We found the installation and setup to be a snap. That’s right, a snap. You got a problem? This little guy comes in very handy on laptops or single monitors where screen space is tight. For example, if you need two windows to sit side by side, instead of painfully dragging them to fit where you want, you can just use this to snap them both to take up half the screen each. You’re also able to configure it to take up as much of the screen as you want.

If you’re still a little confused, perhaps moving pictures are better than words:

Bottom.Paratus: This is an incredibly useful tool when your screen is limited in size. Of course this feature is already integrated right into the Windows 7, but if you’re still using XP or Vista why not grab this gem now?
