Snow Leopard bug causes painful itch

A plethora of people are reporting on Apple’s Support Boards that their user accounts are being deleted after using Snow Leopard’s Guest account login. We would encourage everyone using Snow Leopard to backup their information regularly using Time Machine or an external hard drive. It seems as though you can lose important data very easily when using this feature.
Apple has yet to acknowledge this issue, though we’re assuming they’re already working on a fix.
This is shaping up to be one spectacular week for data loss. Good luck to you Sidekick, Snow Leopard users!
