5 ways to maximize your battery life
Posted by: | Comments
Whether it’s a laptop, iPhone, or your mom’s meatloaf, these tips will help increase the life of your batteries.
1. Dim your display – Your laptop or mobile device should come with an option to lower the brightness and dim the screen. This is an easy and effective way to dramatically increase the life of any battery.
2. Unplug – When your device is not in use, unplug it. Keeping your device plugged in for long periods of time can cause deterioration to a battery’s capacity. Prolonged deterioration will destroy your battery life in no time.
Google makes phones. Finally.
Posted by: | CommentsThe Google Phone has arrived. The Nexus One seems to be a combination of the Motorola Droid and the HTC Eris. It includes the hardware features that made the Droid popular along with the sleekness of the HTC Eris.

Our one complaint so far is the lack of a physical keyboard. For those of you who absolutely hate onscreen keyboards, this phone is not going to be for you.
Droid system update! Delightfulness ensues!
Posted by: | CommentsWe finally received our Motorola Droid operating system update. We’re pleased to announce it didn’t blow up our phone! Furthermore, it actually improved several issues. We noticed a speed improvement, reliability improvement, and our apps seemed to cuddle with each other better.

If you’re an android user, we highly recommend updating your phone as soon as it politely asks you to do so.

Sidekick Update: T-Mobile bribes users with $100 gift card
Posted by: | CommentsDear valued T-Mobile Sidekick customers:
We are thankful for your continued patience as Microsoft/Danger continues to work on preserving platform stability and restoring all services for our Sidekick customers. We have made significant progress this past weekend, restoring services to virtually every customer. Microsoft/Danger has teams of experts in place who are working around-the-clock to ensure this stability is maintained.
Regarding those of you who have lost personal content, T-Mobile and Microsoft/Danger continue to do all we can to recover and return any lost information. Recent efforts indicate the prospects of recovering some lost content may now be possible. We will continue to keep you updated on this front; we know how important this is to you.
In the event certain customers have experienced a significant and permanent loss of personal content, T-Mobile will be sending these customers a $100 customer appreciation card. This will be in addition to the free month of data service that already went to Sidekick data customers. This card can be used towards T-Mobile products and services, or a customer’s T-Mobile bill. For those who fall into this category, details will be sent out in the next 14 days – there is no action needed on the part of these customers. We however remain hopeful that for the majority of our customers, personal content can be recovered.
It’s not like you NEEDED that data right?
Posted by: | CommentsT-Mobile customers who lost any data stored on Danger’s servers will probably never get it back. It’s okay though! It’s only the year 2009 and it’s not like major companies implement backup strategies anyway right? Who backs up data? I mean am I right??
It should be interesting to see if this causes a mass exodus of people to ditch their sidekick in favor of a more modern smart phone. Come to think of it… who even uses a Sidekick these days? I can’t remember the last time I’ve seen anyone use one of those monsters. Well, someone out there must be…

Sync your bookmarks in Chrome for extra flavor!
Posted by: | Comments
And why shouldn’t you add some bookmarky zest? Firefox users have been doing it for several months. Clearly, this is not for amateur chefs!
In their latest installment of web-browser-feature-catchup, the developers of Chromium finally announced the ability to sync your bookmarks across computers using Google Chrome.
Unfortunately, it’s a little more complicated than that. You’ll need to get the latest Dev Version of Chrome. To activate this feature, you must launch Google Chrome with a dash of tech skills. You’ll need to right-click your Chrome shortcut, select Properties, then add –enable-sync after chrome.exe” in the Target line.
